Where We Started
After years working in the wind industry, for some of the largest companies in the world, UpTower's founders saw the same problem again and again. As renewable energy expanded faster than the workforce could keep up, quality suffered. Safety standards slipped. Technicians were pushed into roles before they were ready, and the strain worked its way into leadership.
Rather than accept that as the cost of growth, UpTower was founded in 2019 to raise the standard, starting with better-trained technicians, more experienced leadership, and a culture where accountability isn't optional.
That belief still guides every decision we make: hire well, train thoroughly, lead from experience, and own the outcome for every customer we serve.

Leadership
Jordan Bielefeld, President
Jordan started where many UpTower technicians do: in the field. Over nearly 20 years in wind, he’s built and led teams trusted by utilities, owners, and manufacturers to get critical work done. Today, he leads UpTower with the same hands-on perspective, setting high expectations, making practical decisions, and building a company that understands the work because its leaders have done it.
Steve Scott, Growth Officer
Steve has spent decades on both sides of the renewable energy industry, building service organizations and leading large-scale wind and battery operations for a major utility-backed owner-operator. Today, he leads UpTower’s growth and customer partnerships with a perspective few people have: he knows what it takes to hire a great service partner and what it takes to be one. That experience helps UpTower build relationships around trust, accountability, and a clear understanding of what customers need in the field.
Andrew Peterson, VP of Operations
Andrew has spent nearly 20 years working with wind turbines and leading the people who service them. His career has given him firsthand experience with the realities of field operations, from managing crews and schedules to solving problems when conditions change on site. Today, he leads UpTower’s field operations nationwide, bringing practical experience, steady leadership, and a focus on getting the work done safely and correctly.
Kloe Randall, Accounts Officer
Kloe has been part of UpTower since its beginning in 2019, helping the company grow from a small team into a field services partner trusted by renewable energy operators nationwide. Along the way, she’s taken on many of the responsibilities that come with building a growing company and developed a firsthand understanding of how the business operates. Today, she leads UpTower’s accounting function, bringing consistency, accountability, and an understanding of the business that comes from having helped build it.
